Mark Shepard shows us how he's converting a typical row-crops grain farm into a commercial-scale, perennial agricultural ecosystem using oak savanna, successional brush land and eastern woodlands as the ecological models. The farm is entirely solar- and wind-powered, and farm equipment is powered with locally produced biofuels.

Charlie Johnson, MOSES Farmer of the Year, hosts a tour of his farm which includes 2,800 acres of corn, soybeans, oats and alfalfa. We'll see it all from the comfort of a tour bus. Plus, Charlie will explain how the farm's simple, yet successful systems for crop rotations and cultivation have created clean fields and good yields for many years. Lunch will be provided by the neighboring Lutheran Church.

All refund requests are reviewed and, if approved, will be processed within two weeks of the event. See individual field day webpages for refund deadline dates.
We're sorry, but we cannot make refunds based on weather-related issues. Unless it’s an emergency (such as known flooding in the area), MOSES events are not canceled due to weather. As such, everything is set up and expenses have already been incurred. Please travel safely.
