Pollo Real is a pasture poultry farm located in sunny Socorro, New Mexico. We have raised pasture poultry for over 25 years. Pollo Real was the first certified organic pasture poultry farm in the United States in 1996. We breed, incubate, hatch, and brood Heritage turkeys, layer hens, ducks, and guinea fowl. We also raise from chicks, meat chickens, mainly the French genetics. We process and package our poultry products on farm. We distribute and direct market all our products that we produce including our CSA membership. As we have developed a soil production model with our poultry we follow our birds with crops (potatoes, onions, garlic, peas, and beans) along with crops that feed our birds. We are looking to teach and share our farm experience with an interested, dependable, motivated, and enthusiastic person or persons. Must be a hard worker with a good work ethic and an agricultural background. A good driving record is a must in order to help with marketing and deliveries.
